Share notes
You can share notes from the Notes app on any of your devices by tapping or clicking the Share
button ( ). Depending on the device used, the options in the menu or pop-over that appears in-
clude sending the note as an e-mail, sending it as a text message, copying its content, and printing it.
Of course, you can also copy content from the note and then paste it into e-mails, text messages,
documents, and anything else that can accept pasted text.
Use non-iCloud notes with the Notes app
Some e-mail services, such as Gmail and many IMAP-based e-mail services, allow you to sync
with the Notes app on all your devices. Once you have a non-iCloud e-mail account on any of your
devices, go to the Mail, Contacts, Calendars pane in the Settings app in iOS (see Figure 7-18) device
or go to the Mail, Contacts, Calendars system preference on a Mac to check whether your account
supports notes: Tap or click the name of the service to see if the Notes option appears for it. If so, you
can sync to the Notes app by setting the Notes switch to On.
