Going back to the groin area, I decided to go with a more
plated look. I also went ahead and added a leather strap around
the armored belt to hold it together.

Add the Shell and TurboSmooth modifiers to the cloth hanging
from the belt to give it some depth. For clarity I've had the
skirt-looking armor hidden for a while. Unhide that if you hid
yours too. I wanted to give it some kind of pattern, so I gave it
a look similar to what Roman armor had, which was leather
straps covering the legs. This removes that silly skirt look but
still pulls off the coverage that we want.
