That's it! You've created your first high-poly blade. You're
well on your way to becoming a digital blacksmith. Let's
tackle the hilt now!
Creating the Hilt
The hilt is a little more complex. Let's just think about it for a
second. Hilts are always symmetrical, so we can model half
and mirror it. It's always best to go through and rough out the
shapes first, so let's do just that.
We'll start by creating the part of the hilt that connects
directly to the blade. For this we'll turn on snaps and go to the
Top view. Create a box where the blade ends. Set Width Segs
to 6 and Height to around 4.5 units.
