9 Click the Cap button ( ) at the top of the Properties panel. The Cap allows you
to adjust the ends (called cap) of an object. You can adjust the Cap values in the
Properties panel.
10 Place your cursor over the Inl ation Strength icon located on the letter D in the image
area. Click and drag upward to increase the Inl ation Strength. You will see your 3D
text inl ate slightly. Change the value to approximately 11.00.

You can also change the Inl ation Angle and the Bevel Width and Bevel Angle; for
now, you will leave both at their default settings.
Applying materials to the 3D mesh
Another feature of extrusion is the ability to apply materials to the 3D mesh. You can
choose to apply the same material to all sides, or apply dif erent materials to dif erent sides.

In the 3D Panel, locate the 3D Front Inl ation Material element. If you were to apply
a texture right now, it would only be for the front of the object. To apply a material to
all sides, you must select all the Material elements.
Shift+click the 3D Back Inl ation Material element; this selects all i ve sides of the object.
