have multiple roles over the course of a show. Some team members may act
as leads in one or more roles and as alternates or assists in others. For this
reason, we focus on roles and responsibilities of team members instead of titles.
Every workl ow needs to address these six core roles (Figure 2.3 ):

1. Stereography
2. Correction
3. Grading
4. Creative Direction
5. Technical Operations
6. Project Management

Just as some teams might i nd it helpful to combine workl ows and elements,
some teams may i nd it helpful to add, remove, modify, or combine roles. For
example, on a low-budget show the person in the stereography role may be the
same person in the grading/correction role. In ultra-low budget productions,
one person might take on all six roles.
