Communication as a Service (CaaS)
CaaS enables the consumers to utilize enterprise-level VoIP, VPNs, private branch
exchange (PBX) systems, and unified communications without the need to purchase and
manage the infrastructure. This avoids both capital and operating expenses. Table 12.5
lists a couple of CaaS vendors and their solutions.

Monitoring as a Service (MaaS)
MaaS provides the ability to use a web-based dashboard hosted by a service provider to
monitor the status of key consumer applications. This can be done using a thin client such
as a web browser. The advantages, apart from avoiding capital and operating costs, is the
easy setup and purchasing process. Table 12.6 lists a couple of MaaS vendors and their
solutions.

Business Process as a Service (BPaaS)
Business process outsourcing (BPO) that utilizes any of foundational cloud computing
service models (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) is known as Business Process as a Service (BPaaS).
Traditionally, BPO was aimed at reducing labor costs. However, BPaaS reduces the amount
of labor through increased automation, thus cutting the cost of the whole process. Services
that can be outsourced and fall under the BPaaS umbrella include HR functions, finance
