for its installation. After Oracle binaries are installed, SAPinst will continue the installation
process. When installing the SAP NW 7.0 system, the Oracle Database version must be 10.2
or higher. Oracle Database software is installed with ora<SID> user id. Application of the
most current Oracle patches is also recommended after the 10.2 software version is in-
stalled. The installation of Oracle Database software version 10.2 using the OUI is shown in
Figure 6-2
.

SAP Installation Options in NW 7.0-Based Systems
When installing NW 7.0-based systems, the following three options are available.
