Teton National Parks. The accommodations options include log cabins ($180-265); camper
cabins ($70), which are four-walled structure with a permanent roof and cots; RV sites
($62); and campsites ($35). Log cabins have two queen or one king bed, coffeemakers,
private baths, and patios furnished with rocking chairs. The camper cabins, built in 2012,
RV sites and campsites all include access to 24-hour hot shower and laundry facilities.
Colter Bay Village (800/628-9988, www.gtlc.com ) is located on the northern shore of
Jackson Lake and has historic cabins ($145-249), an RV site and a tent village. The original
homestead cabins, moved to the area, have been refurbished but still offer a glimpse into
the past. Each cabin displays a description of its own history. The private one-room cab-
ins can sleep up to 6 people, and the two-room cabins up to 10. Prices vary depending on
the number of occupants in the room and the arrangement of double, twin, and rollaway
beds. Pull-through RV sites are available for $60. The tent cabins ($57) consist of two log
walls, two canvas walls and a canvas roof, a single lightbulb, and a wood-burning pot-bel-
lied stove. Each log wall has two pull-down bunks with thin mattresses; additional cots can
be rented. Guests are encouraged to bring their own bedding, but a limited number of sleep-
ing bags can be rented from the cabin office. Each tent has a picnic and grilling area, and
showers are located in the launderette with a fee for use. The Colter Bay Campground
(800/628-9988, late May-late Sept., $21) has 350 sites. All tent cabins, campsites, and RV
sites are discounted up to 50 percent with the presentation of a Golden Access Pass.
Located between Flagg Ranch and Colter Bay Village, the Lizard Creek Campground
(800/672-6012, early June-early Sept., $21) has 60 individual sites and rarely fills.
FOOD
The main lodge at Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch is the center of all activity
at the ranch. It has a gas station, a general store, and Sheffields Restaurant & Bar
(7am-10:30am, 11:30am-2pm, and 5pm-9pm daily June-late Sept., breakfast $6.50-9.75,
lunch $9.50-12, dinner $18-32), which serves a solid range of local cuisine—including rus-
tic bison pot pie and Wyoming prime rib—in a family-friendly setting.
The John Colter Café Court in Colter Bay Village (11am-10pm daily June-early Sept.,
$5.75-9) offers both Mexican and American food. They have a variety of tacos, burgers, and
burritos at reasonable prices, and box lunches are available. So too is a kids' menu. Also
at Colter Bay is the Ranch House Restaurant (6:30am-10:30am, 11:30am-1:30pm, and
5:30pm-9pm late May-Sept., lunch $9.75-12, dinner $12-22). The restaurant offers family-
style meals with a Western flavor. The breakfast buffet ($13.50 adults, $7.50 children, en-
