In-Depth Information
Her primary supplier of haircare products and treatments is L'Oreal and they have

“They've given us a lot of advice.” When Liz started she had just one staff member and
although the business was larger at one stage, she prefers having a small staff. “I work with
four girls now who came to me with little experience,” Liz says, “and I trained them in my
procedures. Now we all speak the same language and have the same philosophy, the same
vision for the future.” This means it doesn't matter who takes care of a client at Dani Pe-
luqueria; they will all get the same high quality of service and careful approach from every
member of the team.
Baltimore, Maryland transplant Caroline Farley Suarez says, “ Liz is a sweetheart! She
listens to what you want, puts in her two cents and always delivers amazing results.”
PAWS board member, Louise Zobrist agrees, “My husband and I both get our hair cut
there and Liz does a great job for a fair price, always with a smile.”
Another challenge Liz enjoys is the diversity of her clients. “I had my first training in
Colombia,” she recalls. “But we are in a tourist area where 80% of our people are foreign-
ers.” Liz expanded her training, focusing on American and European schools and work-
ing closely with L'Oreal technicians from the United States who trained her and the staff
in techniques and products used there. That doesn't mean she can't work with Tico hair
