though. “I already brought those skills from Colombia,” she laughs. “So I complemented
my training to serve and satisfy a variety of customers.”
Those clients come to Dani Peluqueria for a variety of beauty treatments. “We offer
everything for hair; deep treatments like hair resuscitations to make proteins,” Liz explains
with practiced ease. “We have smoothing treatments, color, highlights, and avant-garde
cuts.” More than just hair though, they also offer a fully array of nail services, waxing and
facials.
If coming to the salon is too difficult, Liz or her girls can come to you. “We also do
home services and weddings,” she says. “We have a complete wedding package from man-
icures and facials to hair styling. We even do hair and makeup tests.” Once again, Liz is
well aware of the demands of the local climate and is careful to use the right products. “In
makeup, we are using the Palladium line. It's a very complete line and has features suited
to this climate such as antioxidants, sunscreen bases, powders that absorb oil and shine, all
formulated for this environment.”
It's clear that her early beginnings helped form a solid foundation for Liz's business,
which she has built upon wisely. She studied business administration to extend her skill
base and improve her operation. “It was important to me to have another skill such as ad-
ministration,” she explains. “I've been able to manage my business and that has helped it
grow gradually.” It also helps that her work is a genuine passion and she exudes that enthu-
siasm.
“I really love what I do. I breathe, dream and wake up thinking about new products,
innovations or new inventions to use with our clients.” Liz has built a close rapport with
the people who come to Dani Peluqueria, so much so that they hardly seem like clients.
“They have become more friends than customers,” she smiles.
