A fantastic hostel right in the heart of the city, Life opened
in 2010 and is a thoroughly modern, progressive place. From the moment you arrive
you're made to feel at home - slippers are provided - and the premises are spacious
and bright. The 15 rooms range from doubles to dorms sleeping eight and Room 7 has
an amazing corner window on Nevsky pr - surely the best view available for this low
price! There's a big kitchen, clean bathrooms, free laundry and professional English-
speaking staff - all in all, a great option.

This lovely lodging is the sister property to the
views, it's actually far more spacious, stylish and comfortable than the other property.
It's also very child friendly, with family groups warmly welcomed and provided for.
Prices are slightly higher here because each of the 11 rooms has a bathroom. Bonus:
there is also a Finnish sauna on-site.

Pass through the wrought-iron gates into a wonder-
fully private and professionally run oasis of calm and class. Next to the Swiss consu-
late and just a shopping-bag swing away from Nevsky pr, Helvetia occupies a man-
sion designed by Swiss architect Augusto Lange in 1828. The courtyard is a delightful
place to escape the city's bustle. Guest rooms are less atmospheric, but make up for it
in comfort. With two on-site restaurants, this is a great place to eat too, and the buffet
breakfast is excellent.
