to the mid-18th century, this is the company that used to make tea sets for the Russian
royal family. Formerly known as Lomonosov China, the company continues to pro-
duce innovative designs - the speciality being contemporary takes on traditional
themes. The stuff is expensive, but the quality is high and the designs are spectacular
(if you like the Russian style, which can seem somewhat on the gaudy side for some).
The factory outlet offers discounted prices that are significantly cheaper than those
you'll find at Imperial Porcelain's city centre outlet. To get here, turn left out of the
metro station and walk under the bridge. Turn left on the embankment and you'll see
the factory ahead.
