Summary
Hopefully, I didn't bother you with this chapter, as this is somehow more technical
than the previous two chapters. However, it is important that you understand the
earlier chapters, as they provided the necessary technical background to create
a stable and good foundation. When we know that we did everything we could
to create a good model with a solid foundation, our mind can focus on creating a
beautiful architectural visualization.
In this chapter, you learned not only how to be more organized, but also how to
import an external 3D model and content from Lumion's library. Since we cannot
place the 3D model perfectly the first time, we saw what tools are available to do this.
We also saw the corresponding hotkeys to swiftly move from one tool to another.
The fact that we can reload or replace an imported 3D model is, without doubt,
priceless, especially when we have to solve common problems either while
importing or reloading a 3D model.
With this, we can jump to the next chapter where we can see how to add some beauty
to our scene with fantastic materials. Lumion's materials are fully optimized to
provide the most believable results possible. We will not only see how to use them,
but also see what is the best way to create, import, or own materials. In addition to
this, you will learn some techniques to save and paste materials and also learn how
to solve common issues.
