Importing an external 3D model
Importing a 3D model is really easy and straightforward. What we need to do is click
on the
Import
menu, which can be found on the left-hand side, and then click on the
Add a new model
button, as shown on the following screenshot:
This opens a Windows Explorer window where you can locate the folder that
contains the 3D model and select it. After doing this, we need to give a name to
the new 3D model and click on the
Add to library
button.
Now, we are back to the
Build
mode, and we are controlling a yellow boundary box
that represents the 3D model we just imported. With the left mouse button, we can
click to place the 3D model. This is how we import an external 3D model. If you have

Using Lumion's 3D models
Lumion has an extra distinction inside the
Objects
menu, and now, we are talking
exclusively about Lumion's native 3D models. If you open the
