Winter time with the Snow and Rain effects
The Snow and Rain effects can be found under the
Weather
tab, and when we
compare the settings side by side, there are a few common adjustments to be made,
such as controlling the density, wind, and speed. There are two essential settings,
Drop Distortion
in the Rain effect and
Snow layer
in the Snow effect, that make
these effects more believable. However, when we apply these effects, can you see
something that needs correction? Have a look at the following screenshot:
The arrows help by pointing to the fact that on a rainy or snowy day, we don't have
such sharp, harsh shadows. How can we solve this problem in both situations?
