Services
There's a bank with an ATM on the eastern
shopping street leading up from the harbour in Patitíri. The
post office is also up here, while Play internet café is close
to the post office.
Newspapers
English-language newspapers are sold
near the bottom of the western shopping street in
Patitíri.
GETTING AROUND
By bus
There are just two bus routes on Alónissos: from
Patitíri up to Hóra (11 daily, including hourly from 7pm-
midnight; €1.60) and to Stení Vála (3 daily; €1.70). In
Patitíri the bus stop is on the harbour at the bottom of the
eastern inland street.
By taxi
The taxi stand in Patitíri is on the harbour opposite
the bus stand.
By car and scooter
There are numerous car and scooter
rental outlets near the harbour, including Albedo Travel
(see above) and others in the inland street immediately
beyond it.
Boat trips and excursions
Various boat trips are on offer
around the harbour; the best marine park tours cost around
€30 a head (including lunch and drinks), but check their
itineraries as some don't go far in; walking (see p.684) and sea
kayak excursions can be arranged through Albedo Travel.
