Center
( 800-472-7017; www.vintagehotel.com ; 100 Winter Park Dr; r summer/winter from $129/259; )
This somewhat dated hotel is actually in the main parking lot, but for skiers the location is
better than it sounds. In the morning you can simply hop on the Village Cabriolet for dir-
ect access to the lifts. Rooms are fairly simple (think pine furnishings), but there is a pool
and some rooms have kitchenettes and gas fireplaces. Minimum three-night stay in winter.

their dogs out front of this funky cafe, then head in for delicious pastries, breakfast sand-
wiches, rich lattes and healthy bison burgers or veggie sandwiches on home-baked bread.
Paintings by resident artists grace the cozy stonewashed interior. Wi-fi is temperamental.
