This place has been bringing New Orleans' tasty brand of seafood love to Winter Park for
over 20 years. It has everything from fried okra and steamed mussels to crawfish and crab
cakes - and these are just the starters. Main courses include catfish and shrimp (fried, of
course), crawfish étoufée and gumbo.

Getting There & Around
Winter Park gets kudos for being one of the few ski resorts to offer free parking near the
base of the mountain for day trippers. Get to the lifts via the Village Cabriolet lift or a free
shuttle.
Amtrak ( 800-872-7245; www.amtrak.com ; 205 Fraser Ave) Trains from Denver pass through the
Moffat Tunnel and stop in Fraser ($44, two hours) at the unmanned depot on the corner of
Fraser and Railroad Aves.
Greyhound ( 800-231-2222; www.greyhound.com ; 78841 US Hwy 40) Buses from Denver ($24, two
hours) stop at the visitor center on US 40 in Winter Park.
Home James Transportation Services ( 800-359-7536; www.ridehj.com ; adult/child $65/32.50) Offers door-
to-door shuttle service between Winter Park and Denver International Airport (two hours).
The Lift ( 7:30am-10pm) Winter Park's free shuttle carries skiers around town; it runs every
10 to 15 minutes in winter only.

Loveland Pass

The alpine scenery in the Front Range is breathtaking enough, but it's not until you make
it to Loveland Pass that you really begin to feel that Rocky Mountain magic. The gateway
to Summit County, the pass is flanked by a ski resort on either side - Loveland and
Arapahoe Basin ( Click here ) - and offers easy access to above-treeline hiking in the sum-
mer months.
