But then you get to the truly colossal final cavern—the “Murmuring Water
Cave” —with a mighty river crashing through the bottom. You feel like a bit player in a
sci-fi thriller. It's a world where a thousand evil Wizard of Oz monkeys could comfortably
fly in formation. You hike high above the river for about a mile, crossing a breathtaking
(but stable-feeling) footbridge 150 feet above the torrent. Far below, the scant remains of
century-oldtrailsfromtheearlydaysoftourismareevocative.Thecavefinallywidens,sun-
light pours in, and you emerge—like lost creatures seeking daylight—into a lush canyon.

After Your Tour: Exiting the cave, your options are a bit confusing, but guides are gen-

office.
