BUSES
Bus and subway information

is clean and usually efficient. It is often extremely slow in peak hours, but it can be your best
bet for travelling crosstown. Pay on entry with a
MetroCard
($2.50, express $6) or exact
fare in coins; you can transfer for free from subway to bus, bus to subway, or from bus to
bus, in one direction within two hours.
