5. Select
Cloner
in the Object Manager. Next, choose
MoGraph > Effector
from the main
menu; a cascading menu is displayed. Choose
Formula
from it;
Formula
is added to the
Object Manager.
6. Make sure
Formula
is selected in the Object Manager. In the Attribute Manager, make
sure the
Parameter
button is chosen; the
Parameter
area is displayed. In the
Para-
meter
area, expand
Transform
if not already expanded and then clear the
Position
and
Scale
check boxes.
7. Expand the
Color
area, if not already expanded and select the
On
option from the
Color
Mode
drop-down list. Next, select the
Add
option from the
Blending Mode
drop-down
list, as shown in Figure 12-12.

The options in the
Blending Mode
drop-down list are used to specify different modes for
blending the colors of the effectors with the cloners. The
Add
option is used to add the
colors of the cloner with the color of the effector.
8. Choose the
Play Forwards
button; the animation begins in the Perspective viewport.
Setting Render Attributes
In this section, you will set the global illumination, ambient occlusion, and glow attributes.
1. Choose the
Edit Render Settings
tool in the Command Palette; the
Render Settings
window is displayed. In this window, choose the
Effect
button; a flyout is displayed.
