5. Press and hold the left mouse button on the matBeerMug material in the Material Man-
ager and drag the cursor to BeerMug in the Object Manager; the matBeerMug material
is applied to the beer mug in the Perspective viewport.
Next, you will create texture for Beer .
6. Double-click in the empty area in the Material Manager; a new material is created in the
Material Manager.
7. Make sure that the new material is selected in the Material Manager and choose the
Basic button from the Attribute Manager; the Basic Properties area is displayed in the
Attribute Manager. Enter matBeer in the Name text box in the Basic Properties area;
the new material is renamed as matBeer .
8. In the Basic Properties area, select the Transparency check box.
9. In the Attribute Manager, choose the Transparency button; the Transparency area is
displayed. In this area, set the parameters as follows:
G: 239 B: 177 Refraction: 1.25
Enter 45 in the Absorption Distance spinner.
10. In the Transparency area, clear the Exit Reflections check box. Click on the triangle
located on the right of Absorption Color to expand the parameter if not already expan-
ded and then set the values in the RGB spinners corresponding to Absorption Color as
follows:

11. Press and hold the left mouse button on the matBeer material in the Material Manager
and drag the cursor on Beer in the Object Manager; the matBeer material is applied to
Beer in the Perspective viewport.
Next, you will create texture for Floor .
12. Double-click in the empty area in the Material Manager; a new material is created in
the Material Manager.
