The second tab is the Monitor tab, as shown in Figure 11-3.

The Monitor tab is where you view the state of the JVM from a memory and CPU perspective as a
whole. The other tabs are more useful when you're determining the cause of a problem identified in the
Monitor tab (if you keep running out of memory or the CPU is pegged for some reason). All the charts on
the Monitor tab are resizable, and they can be hidden as required.
The next tab available in VisualVM is the Threads tab, displayed in Figure 11-4.
