Run by helpful sisters with unlimited reserves of energy, super
friendly Stone attracts a cosmo stew of travellers. Dorms are a little crowded, but for the
smaller one downstairs. The private double room (without bathroom) has elegant couches
and armoire. You'll be given a map and bags of info on arrival. Personal lockers, organ-
ised tours and basic breakfast. Laundry is 15 lei.

This hidden courtyard oasis has five beautiful apartments, some with split-level
floors adjoined by spiral staircases. Each is defiantly individual but all fuse contemporary
chic with traditional Saxon; think antique furniture and modern art on brick walls. Glori-
