internationally accented rooms with great views, balconies and en suites. For cheaper
rooms ask to stay in the old wing.

hotel with suitably creaky stairs, communal washrooms, endless corridors and tiny rooms
with sloping ceilings, bureaus and basins, is like something out of an existentialist novel.

There's a pleasant vibe here: maybe it's those colourful mur-
als and friendly staff. Dorms are fresh with crayon-coloured walls, parquet flooring and
individual lockers. Some are cosier than others, particularly 'Snorer's Den'. The private
rooms are winners with blue walls, TV, fan and reading lights. There's also a communal
computer and film lounge.

The city has bags of choice from sugary eats at bakeries on Str George Bariţiu, to shad-
owy boho restaurants and high-class steakhouses. Piaţa Sfatului is great for cafes and
breakfast while Str Republicii is more suited to people-watching cafes.
