Festivals & Events
Braşov especially fizzes during the
Days of Braşov
festival, the first week after Easter
(late April/early May), finishing with the fantastic
Juni Pageant
.
Braşov also hosts other events including the
International Chamber Music Festival
,
which is usually held the first week in September in various venues around town, with a
final concert at Bran Castle. Since 1968, the
Golden Stag Festival
(Cerbul de Aur;

)
, held in late September, has put pop music on the stage - folks such
as James Brown, Joe Cocker and Kylie Minogue have performed - however, it was can-
celled in 2011 and 2012.
Etnovember
is an imaginative festival, held in November since 1998, that highlights
traditions of Romanians and many ethnic minorities. Watch out too for
Oktoberfest
; or-
ganised by the Saxon element of the city, it follows the Bavarian tradition of rivers of al-
cohol, tents and music.
