To modify the chart after the initial creation, right-click anywhere on the
chart; then in the pop-up menu select
Chart Object-

Open
. This will open up
Microsoft Graph
, and show the contents of the cells and the chart. Enter text
into the datasheet to change the values, or right-click on the chart and select
Chart Options
to change labels and other appearance variables. Select

Update
in the Graph window and then close it.

File formats
All document or graphics creation applications save their files in a particular
format. When documents are exchanged between computers, the choice of
format sometimes creates difficulties when compatible software is not present.
Since the
Microsoft Office
applications are so common in the desktop world,
there is a tendency for some people to distribute documents in the
Office
native application formats. But this has an expectation that the recipient will
have the appropriate application to read the file, and this may not be the case.
The document format is often known by letters of the filename extension
used on Windows. For example, MS Word saves files with a “.doc” extension
to the file name, so the MS Word default document format is knows as “DOC”
format. Similarly, the default MS Excel format is “XLS” and the default MS
Powerpoint format is called “PPT”. Note that these file name extensions may
