Shared taxis leave from next to the main bus terminal. Expect to pay Dh20 for shared
Dh250 and Dh300 to either and can be booked in advance.
Getting Around
TO/FROM THE AIRPORT
Air-conditioned bus A1 picks up from outside the arrivals area of all terminals at intervals
ranging from 30 to 60 minutes around the clock (1ΒΌ hours, Dh3) and travels via the cent-
ral bus station all the way into town as far as the Tourist Club Area.
Etihad passengers can use free shuttle buses to and from Dubai, Al Ain and Sharjah
(show your boarding pass).
Taxis cost Dh70 to Dh80 for the half-hour trip to the city centre.
If you're leaving on Etihad, Gulf, Cathay Pacific, Air Berlin and a few other airlines,
you may be able to check your luggage and pick up a boarding pass between four and 24
hours before departure at four remote check-in locations:

around the clock. Useful route include bus 32, 44 and 54, which all go from the city centre
out to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Bus 5 links the Marina Mall with the port and
Tourist Club Area via the central business district.
Rides cost Dh2; put the coin in the fare box by the driver. For multiple trips, consider
the Ojra Day Pass (Dh3), sold at such bus stops at Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi Mall and Al
