Beudy Banc
CAMPGROUND £
( 01650-511495; www.beudybanc.co.uk ; Abercegir; sites £20) Set on a working sheep farm
nestled in the folds of the Dyfi Valley, this wonderful place offers back-to-basics camping
in grassy meadows with glorious views. There are hot showers and composting toilets,
campfires are allowed and, with a limited number of pitches, it never feels too crowded. If
you feel like a little more comfort you can choose from excellent-value fully furnished
bell tents sleeping four (£40 per night), a simple but quirky cabin (£75 per night) or a gor-

prices starting from £100 per night for two people. A walking trail across the farm links
up with Glyndŵr's Way but the real joy here are the two excellent mountain bike descents
and the network of tracks and bridleways around the farm. Beudy Banc is about 3 miles
northeast of Machynlleth off the A489.
