Drinking & Nightlife
In a city synonymous with Dylan Thomas you'd expect some hard drinking to take
place…and you'd be right. Swansea's main boozing strip is Wind St (pronounced to
rhyme with 'blind', as in drunk), and on weekends it can be a bit of a zoo, full of gener-
ally good-natured alcopop-fuelled teens teetering around on high heels. Buzz magazine
(free from the tourist office and bars around town) has its finger on the pulse of the local
scene.

forms after dark into Swansea's best alternative club, hosting DJs, live musicians, bur-
lesque and salsa upstairs.
