JCT Standard Form of Contract Relationships
Ross and Williams outline in a simplistic form, the types and financial implications of
the various standard forms of building contracts.
These include lump sum contracts, re-measurement contracts (measure and value
arrangements) and cost reimbursement contracts. Practical applications are out-
lined in relation to examples from building practice (reference to Chapter 4 -
contracts and documentation.)
4.3 JCT major projects construction contract - 2011
Designed for large scale construction projects where major works are involved (no
minimum or maximum contract value ranges are indicated).
Used by employers who regularly procure large scale construction work. The work
is carried out by contractors with experience and ability to take greater risk than
would arise under other JCT contracts.
Major project construction contracts are suitable for the design and build method.
