South Cornwall
South Coast
Cornwall's south coast beaches are gentler than the ones on the north coast: here the golden
crescents are more likely to be backed by green fields than craggy cliffs.
Peninsular Splendour
Two of Cornwall's prettiest peninsulas jut out from its southern coastline: the rural Rose-
land, spotted with pretty hamlets and farms; and the remote Rame Peninsula with a collec-
tion of great estates.
Seaside Towns
Picture-perfect villages are strung all along Cornwall's south coast. Most were established
to serve the county's once-great fishing industry. While only a handful of boats remain,
they're still full of maritime atmosphere.
