2. In the Document window, select the footer text. You'll change the text to an
e-mail link.
Trouble? If the copyright symbol does not display, click Code view to see if
the code is in the page. The code for the copyright symbol is ©. If the
code is there, it is not displaying because of a bug in Dreamweaver. Delete the
code, change to Design view, place the pointer before the copyright text in the
Document window, and then add the copyright symbol from the Characters list on
the Text tab of the Insert panel. The copyright symbol should be visible now, and
you can select the footer text, including the copyright symbol, and continue with
the steps.

You can also click Insert on
the Application bar, click
Email Link, type the link
text and e-mail address in
the dialog box, and then
click the OK button to
insert an e-mail link.

3. In the Property inspector, type mailto:[e-mail] in the Link box,
press the Enter key, and then, in the Document window, deselect the text. See
Figure 6-11.

4. Save the nb_footer library item. The Update Library Items dialog box opens, list-
ing all the pages that contain the library item. See Figure 6-12.

5. Click the Update button to update the library item in the listed pages.
Dreamweaver updates all the pages that contain the library item and the Update
Pages dialog box opens.
