To copy part of a Photoshop file into the home page:

1. On the taskbar, click the Adobe Photoshop CS5 button to return to the
Photoshop program window.

2. On the Application bar, click File , and then click Open . The Open dialog
box opens.

3. Navigate to the Tutorial.05\Tutorial folder included with your Data Files, and
then double-click sitedesign.psd . The file opens in Photoshop.

4. On the Application bar, click the ESSENTIALS button, and then click the Show
More Workspace Options button and check Reset Essentials then collapse

the ADJUSTMENTS panel.

5. Click the Layers tab to open the Layers panel, if necessary. See Figure 5-30.

Trouble? If a dialog box opens, warning that you do not have the font in which
the logo was made installed on your computer, you can open the document but
not edit the text. Click the OK button, and then read, but don't perform the rest
of the steps.

6. In the Tools panel, click the Rectangular Marquee Tool button .

7. Click the upper-left corner where the top and left guides intersect and drag to the
lower-right corner where the right and bottom guides intersect, and then release
the mouse button to create a rectangular selection as indicated by the guides. See
Figure 5-31.
