In-Depth Information
(mains €6-11; 8am-midnight Mar-Oct) Restaurants don't come much more swashbuckling than
this replica of a 19th-century boat gifted to King Nikola by the Turks, permanently
docked by Virpazar's main square. Traditional Montenegrin grilled meat and lake fish are
served on deck or below.
Virski Pub
With Nikšićko beer on tap, sport on the TV and pool tables out the back, this is a much
more pub-like proposition than your average Montenegrin cafe-bar. If you want to mitig-
ate the damage, the bakery next door sells pizza for €1.
PUB
Information
National Park Kiosk By the marina; has no info but sells park entry tickets (€4) and fishing
permits (summer/winter per day €10/5).
Virpazar Tourist Office ( 020-711 102; www.visitbar.org ; 8am-5pm May-Sep, 8am-4pm Mon-Fri Oct-Apr;
) This big new office on the main square can assist you with arranging anything on the
lake, including boat trips, wine tastings and private accommodation. Upstairs there are
displays about the national park, and the office operates as a storefront for the region's
small wine producers.
Getting There & Away
Virpazar doesn't have a bus station but buses on the Bar-Podgorica route stop on the
