Eating
The hotels listed here all serve food too. Being so close to the coast, the seafood is usually
excellent and cheap, including lobster.
Okorye Tree CAFE $
(mains C7-15; 7am-9pm) Attached to the Black Star Surf Shop, the Okorye Tree does a roar-
ing trade in pancakes and big burritos. Grab a table on the wooden deck, order a frozen
margarita and watch the waves break.
Julian's AFRICAN $
(mains C4-8; 8am-9pm) A cheerful and excellent local eatery that serves the usual fried rice
and starch'n'sauce as well as very good thin-crust pizzas.
Information
There are no banking facilities in Busua (the nearest are in Agona or Takoradi. Internet
(per hour C6) is available at the Busua Inn Resort.
Getting There & Away
Busua is about 12km from the main coastal road between Takoradi and Axim. To get
there, get a tro-tro from Takoradi to Agona (C2, 40 minutes) and then a shared taxi to
Busua (C1, 15 minutes).
To get to Akwidaa, you'll need to go back to Agona; from Akwidaa to Busua, however,
you could stop at Dixcove and then walk from there.

Akwidaa & Cape Three Points
Akwidaa's unique selling point is its long, pristine white sandy beach, by far one of the
best in Ghana. The village itself isn't as interesting as other settlements on the coast, but
you can explore cocoa plantations and forests, organise canoe trips or visit the windswept
Cape Three Points, Ghana's most southern point. The walk to the cape follows the local
