tirely from locally sourced, natural materials, the lodge has cute bungalows dotted all over
a private stretch of beach. The bar plays laid-back tunes, the restaurant churns out
chocolate-covered bananas and there's a stack of board games. The beach is a turtle nest-
ing site and the staff organise nightly tours, as well as guided tours to all local attractions
(C8 to C15). Magical.
Akwidaa is about 16km south of the Takoradi -Axim road. Take a
tro-tro
from
Takoradi to Agona (C2, 40 minutes) and then a
tro-tro
from Agona to Akwidaa (C2, one
hour). The driver can drop you off at the Green Turtle Lodge.
Tro-tros
stop in Dixcove on
the way, handy if you want to get to Busua.
