From the STC bus station, you'll find services to the following destinations:
Accra (C11, four hours, three daily)
Kumasi (C17, six hours, two daily)
Tema (C12, five hours, two daily)
Tamale (C33, 13 hours, one daily)
Bolgatanga (C36, 16 hours, one daily)
TRO-TROS
Tro-tro stops are scattered around the main market roundabout. Everyone should be able
to direct you. Destinations include Accra (C11, three hours), Kumasi (C13, five hours)
and Agona Junction (C2, 40 minutes).
TOP OF CHAPTER
Busua
Some 30km west of Takoradi, the small village of Busua is a magnet for volunteers and
backpackers, who love coming here to chill on the beach for a few days.
The surf here is some of the best in Ghana and there are some lovely excursions to do
from the village. Make sure you contact local guide Ebenezeer ( 027-5283759, 029-3522188; per
hr C5) if you want to explore the surroundings: not only does he know the area inside out,
he's great company and always partial to a laugh.

Butre VILLAGE
The stunning village of Butre is well worth the 3km walk from Busua. In fact, the walk it-
self is half the attraction: head east along the beach from Busua for about 2km then veer
