minute walk to the left from where you disembark. You can easily fill up on the superb
antipasti spread (€15) and the pizzas are also tasty and varied - try the sfilatino with
ricotta, ham and mozzarella.
Seafood is pricier but the fish is as fresh as the day's catch, and includes spiny lobster
grill and seafood risotto. There are picturesque views of the colourful fishing boats and
nets from the sprawling outdoor terrace, with little to remind you of Capri's fabled glitz

( 081 837 07 32; Via le Botteghe 12; meals €50; mid-Mar-Oct) Dating back to the
1930s, this is the island's most famous traditional trattoria and a long-time favourite on
the celebrity circuit. Set up to look like a Hollywood version of a rustic eatery - pink
tablecloths, pink roses, hanging copper pots and carved wooden chairs - it serves a classic
island menu of comfort food.
Popular dishes include high-quality seafood pasta, ravioli caprese , grilled meat and
fresh fish, as well as the speciality, linguine al sugo di scorfano (flat ribbons of pasta with
scorpion fish). Reservations are highly recommended.

tance, you'll appreciate the effort. Family run, the food is great, too. Dishes are made with
local produce and are unapologetically simple. For proof, try the grilled mozzarella with
lemon leaves, followed by succulent lamb chops or one of the ravioli dishes.
