In-Depth Information
Note 1 : There is no two-park version of this system, it can only be purchased for one park
- if you want to use it for a second park then you must purchase it separately.
Note 2 : Q-Bot is not necessarily offered every day of the year. There are times when only
Express Passes are sold instead.
Note 3 : When you purchase access to a Q-Bot you will receive a voucher which will need
to be exchanged elsewhere inside the park. There you will pay sign a contract stating you
will return it and provide credit or debit card payment details. You cannot use the Q-Bot
system without a credit or debit card. If the Q-Bot is not returned or is damaged, then you
will be charged a $50 fee per Q-Bot.
Internet access:
Sometimes you need to stay connected whilst on vacation, and internet access has become
almost indispensable over the past few years - whether you need to send a business email,
check the route to your next destination, book a hotel, check your credit card bill or upload
a photo to Instagram. Theme parks have started offering complimentary Wi-Fi access over
thepastcoupleofyears,beginningwithWaltDisneyWorld,andin2014thisservicefinally
reached the Universal Orlando resort.
You can find free Wi-Fi throughout both theme parks and the CityWalk area to connect
to. The network to connect to is simply called “Universal”. As Xfinity sponsors the Wi-Fi,
Xfinity customers can simply log-in with their account credentials. Non-Xfinity customers
still have access to free Wi-Fi upon providing their zip code and email address.
In-room Wi-Fi access is offered at no cost to hotel guests for the “standard” level - if you
require higher speed access there is a “premium” option available for $15 per day. The
lobby and pool areas in all the on-site hotels have free Wi-Fi which you can access regard-
less of whether you are staying at the hotel.
The Universal Orlando app:
'The Official Universal Orlando Resort App' available for free on smartphones allows you
to access wait times for all attractions when inside the parks, get directions to attractions
with a step-by-step visual representation, see upcoming show times and special events, be
alerted when a wait time drops below a certain figure, see park and resort maps, find guest
amenities, see park hours, set show time alerts, social sharing, and locate food items.
