In-Depth Information
If you are only coming to the resort for the evening, between 6:00pm and 10:00pm it is $5
to park for visitors, and parking is free for Florida residents with proof of residency. After
10:00pm parking is free for all guests - a good reason to visit CityWalk in the evening.
However, for busy evenings like Halloween Horror Nights expect parking to be full price
throughout the entire day.
After parking you will walk to the main parking rotunda hub, go through bag check and
then walk through CityWalk - at the end of CityWalk you can turn left for Islands of Ad-
venture or right for Universal Studios Florida .
Walt Disney World to Universal Orlando by car:
This is a common route as many visitors to Universal Orlando start off their vacation at the
Walt Disney World resort. The Walt Disney World resort is large but you will first have to
follow internal resort signs to the Interstate 4 (I-4). There are entrances to the I4 by ESPN:
WideWorldofSports,Disney'sPopCenturyResort,Disney'sTyphoonLagoonwaterpark,
and Downtown Disney/Disney Springs.
Follow the I-4 North/East and follow the road for 6 to 8 miles depending on where you got
on, take exit 75A and merge onto Universal Blvd, the address you want is “6000 Universal
Blvd, Orlando” but at this point you will be able to follow local road signs to the parking
garages.
Public Transport:
There are two options for those using public transport - the I-Ride Trolley and the Lynx
buses. The I-Ride follows a route along International Drive and is aimed at tourists only,
whereas Lynx buses are used frequently by locals and are often busier at peak times.
Both services have a stop just outside Wet n' Wild water park which is where you should
get off (on the I-Ride this is stop 8). From there it is a 15 to 20 minute walk. Cross the road
and head north on Universal Blvd towards the theme parks until you reach the overhead
walkway, which you will use to enter Universal Orlando.
Both options are fairly inexpensive at about $2 each - we recommend you look at both op-
tions online and decide on which is best for you.
Note: Be careful! You do have to cross a few major roads and one smaller road (which does
not have traffic lights) on the short walk from the bus stops to the Universal Orlando resort.
This walk should not take longer than 10 to 15 minutes.
