Top Tip: Orlando public transport can be very infrequent with sometimes only 1 or 2 buses
an hour so be sure to check the schedule in advance.
Walt Disney World to Universal Orlando by public transport:
This is a common route as many visitors to Universal Orlando start off their vacation at
the Walt Disney World resort. Get to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) on Walt
Disney World resort property, for most guests this will involve getting to Magic Kingdom
Park and then taking the monorail over to the TTC. At the TTC ask a Cast Member for the
location of the LYNX bus stop. Alternatively you can catch the bus at Downtown Disney
- we recommend you use Google Maps to locate this top. At either the TTC or Downtown
Disney, you will catch the number 50 LYNX bus.
Be sure to have exact change for the bus as there is no change from the fare machine - the
machine accepts coins and dollar bills. Make sure to ask the bus driver for a transfer (valid
for 90 minutes from first issue) as you will be using more than one bus and this way you
will only need to pay once. At the time of writing, the price is $2 per person.
Once you are on the number 50 bus you will be on it for approximately 35 minutes until
you reach the first stop on Sea Harbor Drive. The exact location of the stop you will want
to get off at is “6800 Sea Harbor Dr and Central Florida Pky”.
Here you will need to wait for the number 8 LYNX bus and stay on that bus until “6200
International Dr and Universal Blvd”. Be sure to ask the driver for the Universal stop if you
are unsure. This number 8 bus journey will take about 15 minutes.
From here you will walk to Universal Orlando resort - the journey will take about 10
minutes. The total journey time with transfers is about 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30
minutes each way.
Take a look at http://www.golynx.com/ for help with the LYNX bus serve, including in-
structional videos and maps.
Shuttles from Orlando International Airport:
Unlike guests staying at Walt Disney World's on-site hotels there is no complimentary
shuttle or motor coach transportation between the Universal Orlando resort and Orlando
International Airport.
