Hole saws
Hole saws are designed to cut holes in sheet metal. They are made in the
form of a tube with teeth and fit on an arbor with a pilot drill. They are made in
many different sizes.
Rota broach
A rota broach is similar to a hole saw but does not usually have a pilot drill.
They will cut a circular hole and are often used on thicker material than a hole
saw. They are also useful for cutting through tubes that need a scallop cut out
of them before welding up.

Small cutters and face mills
Inserted tooth cutters can be of quite small diameters with one or two inserted
teeth, orseveralinchesorcentimetres indiametertakingmanyinsertedteeth.
The latter are known as face mills as their main use is milling the face of
blocks of metal, either to clean up the face or to remove large quantities of
