The finest digs in the area are scattered within this
theatrical Tudor-style resort erected in 1940. It shares Middle Head Peninsula with the
famous
golf course

Ingonish Campground
. The lodge is worth visiting even if
you're not a guest for its setting and the
hiking trail
to the tip of the peninsula just bey-
ond the resort.
You must have a valid entry permit to the national park, as the lodge, the golf course
and the hiking trail are all within park boundaries.

By far the best breakfast stop (from $6) near the park and also a great
stop for lunch and dinner. Sandwiches and French toast are made with thick fresh bread
and the seafood plates are immense.
