ce throughout a three-story row house. The entrance is not marked by name; look for
'Dickson Building 903' above the door. It's a cool spot to swing into before a show at the
9:30 Club.

dance-loving crowd adorn this multifloored mansion. The DJs here - spinning funk, soul
and Brazilian beats - are phenomenal, which is not surprising given Eric Hilton (of
Thievery Corporation) is co-owner.

One of Washington's gay-bar scenes is concentrated around Dupont Circle.

Dupont Circle) Featuring lots of hair product and faux-tanned gym bodies, Cobalt
tends to gather a better-dressed late-20s to 30-something crowd who come for
fun (but loud!) dance parties throughout the week.

dozo) The vibe here is low key, and Nellie's is a good place to hunker down among a
friendly crowd for tasty bar bites, events nights (including drag bingo Tuesdays) or

happy hour, and is packed more often than not. Embarrassing show tunes karaoke
