Twelve tracks are located beneath the main floor of the station, accessible by
escalators or elevators. TV screens and a large display above the ticket windows
show which trains leave from which platforms. There is a red desk, marked with an
M, where you can purchase tickets for both the metro and bus systems. They can
also provide metro and bus system maps.

www.renfe.es . This easy-to-use website provides timetables for all travel origin-
ating in Spain (in English and Spanish).
• Seat/sleeper reservations: For same-day travel, go to the windows marked
VENTA IMMEDIATE , which are on the right side of the station from the front en-
trance. For later travel, go to the VENTA ANTICIPADA windows on the left-hand side
of the station. Usually, you need to take a number from the machine and watch
for your number to appear on the digital display board. It will also indicate which
window number you should go to. There are usually lines. We suggest you
make your reservation as far in advance of your expected departure date as
possible. Rail pass validation can be made at any of these windows.
• Money exchange may be made at the “kiosk” on the ground-floor level in the
center of the station. Hours: 0800-2100 daily. There are also numerous ATMs
scattered throughout the station—four of which are opposite the VENTA
ANTICIPADA windows.
• Tourist information is available in the center of the station. For more extensive
information and services, go to the one located at 17 Plaça de Catalunya.
Other RENFE stations include Barcelona França, Passeig de Gràcia, Plaça
de Catalunya, Clot-Arago, and Sant Andreu Comtal. All of the day excursions
detailed in this edition, however, may be visited by departing from the Sants
Station.
