Rail pass validation is in the same office where international tickets are pur-
chased, 0600-2230 daily.
Inter-rail center is in the middle section of the south side of the station between
Tracks 2 and 4. Enter by showing your rail pass. You can pick up information on
what's going on in the Copenhagen This Week pamphlet, and the center per-
sonnel can help with reservations for youth hostels. For a few kroner you can
even take a shower.

To reach the tourist office on foot, exit the central station and walk toward the
corner on the right side, toward the front of the Tivoli Gardens. Cross the street
at this point. The office is directly across from Tivoli Gardens' main entrance and
readily identifiable by the familiar “i” sign.
Hotelreservations ( Tel: 33 12 28 80; Fax: 33 12 97 23) can be made at the tourist
office. The personnel are authorized to accept advance payments on behalf of the
hotels to ensure reservations.

Getting Around in Copenhagen
In Copenhagen an electrified metropolitan S-train railway network connects the city
center with the suburban areas at frequent intervals. The metro, City Line, runs
every 1½ minutes during rush hour.
