Getting There & Away
Of the up to five daily buses between Bergen (Nkr120) and Norheimsund, the 7.30am
bus connects with the 8.50am ferry that travels from Norheimsund to Eidfjord (one-way
Nkr260). From Voss, most services require a change in Arna.

Another pleasant little town, just around the shoreline from Norheimsund, Øystese has an
exceptional art gallery of the kind you just don't expect to find in a small village on the
shores of a Norwegian fjord. There are also some interesting excursions in the vicinity, in-
cluding a visit to one of Hardangerfjord's famed fruit farms. And collectors of quirky local
