Kunsthuset Kabuso CONTEMPORARY ART GALLERY

rest of yr) One of the best art galleries in the Norwegian fjord country, the Kunsthuset
Kabuso attracts artists of world renown - in recent years, Damien Hirst, Matthew Barney
and Candice Breitz have all exhibited here. In addition to cutting-edge contemporary
artists, it also showcases traditional arts. From late June until mid-August, the museum has
high-quality classical music concerts (Nkr150) on Sundays at 1pm. The program always
includes works by Edvard Grieg, as well as other well-known composers, and the mu-
seum's small theatre has fantastic acoustics. It's not usually necessary to book in advance.
Ingebrigt Vik Museum SCULPTURE MUSEUM

octagonal gallery is dedicated to the renowned Norwegian sculptor of the same name
(1867-1927), who was born in Øystese.

a great time to visit this farm, a short distance east of Øystese, with strawberries becoming
ripe in June, while July is all about raspberries, cherries, plums, apples and pears. It runs
guided tours of the farm for groups, and a cafe serves great apple juice and one of the best
apple pies (Nkr75) you'll ever taste.
