RunningOther Tests
In the download for SQLIOSim, there are several additional configuration files you can use as the basis
for tests, and there is a wealth of information about all the different parameters that you can configure in
your configuration files.
For now let's run through each of the different config files supplied and see what they give you.
The first problem is that all the config files have files specified on an F drive. Assuming that, like me, you
don't have an F drive, when you try to open the config file, SQLIOSim throws an error and clears any
config settings it seems to have read from the file.
To overcome this requires a little bit of XML hacking through Notepad. All you need to do is edit the
XML file and change the
FileName=
lines from this:
[File1]
FileName=f:
\
sqliosim.mdx
InitialSize=100
MaxSize=100
